VPS vs Shared Hosting
Virtual Private Servers (VPS) are the perfect solution when you need more freedom than a standard web hosting package but do not want to pay for dedicated a server. With each VPS package you will be given root-level access to your own virtual machine via the Virtuozzo Power Console and will be able to install any software of your choice.

What you get
Included with each package are generous quotas of guaranteed and burstable RAM, as well as on high levels of CPU usage. You can choose your preferred Operating System and Control Panel and upgrade when needed. The physical hardware used for the VPS nodes are are all different but this is an example of some of the hardware we use:

• CPU: 2 x Intel(R) Xeon(R) L5420 2.50GHz (8 cores) and 2x Opteron 6128 32 GHz total (16 cores)
• RAM: 32 GB to 128 GB DDR3 ECC-REG
• Hard Drives: Multiple 600GB high-speed SAS in RAID10
• Network Card: 1 Gbit

Available Operating System and Control Panel Configurations
A control panel is optional, and is provided for convenience if you wish to use the VPS for web hosting. Hepsia is the control panel used for our standard Web Hosting packages and is available for free. For other control panels see VPS Upgrades for costs.
